Galaxy print is a photograph applied to cloth, which is why it behaves unlike any other pattern in a wardrobe.

There is no repeat you can see, no scale to match against, and a colour range running from black through violet to hot pink inside one piece. Put it next to anything else patterned and both lose. Put it next to a single flat colour pulled out of the print itself and it reads as deliberate. That is most of this game.

A face painting stage comes before the clothes, and it is separate from ordinary makeup. It does the same job as the print, texture applied straight onto a surface, so matching the two is the run that works.
