Rinmaru drew these in Flash in the early 2000s, and for a while after Flash was switched off they were simply gone. They run again now, in an ordinary browser tab, with nothing to install.

What happened to the Rinmaru games
Browsers stopped running Flash at the start of 2021, and every game built in it went dark on the same day. Nothing was wrong with the games. The thing that played them had been retired.
What brought them back is Ruffle, an emulator that reads the original Flash file in the browser with nothing installed. The files are the files, which is why the art is pixel for pixel what you remember and the interface still behaves like something from fifteen years ago.
The manga creators
The Vampire Hunter set is the deepest thing here. Each page is a separate scene with its own poses, expressions and props, and you build a comic panel rather than a character: page 2, page 8, page 12, and the rest of them.
Fantasy World, Rebels and the Star Wars pages work the same way. People use them for original characters, for roleplay profiles and for fan comics, which is what they were drawn for.
The character creators
Dark Mage Creator and Fantasy Fortune Teller are the two to open first, and both are single characters with absurd amounts of detail. Medieval Woman and Belle Époque Costume Creator run the same idea through a period wardrobe, the first layered the way medieval clothing actually was. Elven Makeover spends its effort before the clothes: skin tone, then the shape of the ear, then freckles.
Bring a laptop
Almost all of these were drawn for a mouse, at a canvas size that predates the phone, and we would rather show you nothing than something that will not run. Open this page on a phone and you will see only the handful that work there. Open it on a laptop and the whole set is waiting.
