Most dress up games give you one girl and one evening. This one gives you a life.
Life Story runs from a country childhood through school, work, love and old age, and you dress her for each chapter as it arrives. The wardrobe changes as she does. What suited her at sixteen looks wrong at forty, and the game knows it: the clothing sets are tied to the stage she is at, so you cannot put a ballgown on a farm girl and you would not want to.
That structure is why it is hard to put down. There is always one more chapter, and by the time you reach it you have decided who she is.
Play it slowly. The first run is usually spent working out how much the game will let you change, and the second is the one where you actually build somebody.
How to play Life Story
Pick the chapter from the panel on the left, then work down the categories: face and hair first, because they carry across the whole story, then the outfit for that stage. Each chapter has its own background and its own clothing set, so change the scene before you dress her, not after. Screenshot at the end of a chapter if you want to keep the sequence. There is no save.

How long does Life Story take to finish?
There is no ending to reach. Most people spend two to five minutes on a run, and the game will hold you as long as you keep opening chapters.
Can I make the character look like me?
To a point. The face, skin tone and hair are all adjustable, though the art style stays the same throughout, so it will be a stylised version rather than a portrait.
Does the story change based on what I choose?
The clothes change, the story does not. The chapters run in the same order every time, which is what makes it a dress up game rather than a life simulator.
