Barbie Equestria Girls Fan
Barbie Equestria Girls Fan
Rainbow hair is the point of entry, and everything else has to survive it.
Barbie is dressing for a birthday party in the register of the Equestria Girls, which in practice means saturated colour blocked clothing and a hairdo borrowed from Rainbow Dash. Makeup is its own layer: red lipstick, black mascara, blush, chosen apart from the clothes.
Colour this loud needs a rule or it collapses. Take two of the hair colours and use only those in the outfit, and the reference reads clearly instead of turning into a paint chart. Shoes repay the same discipline.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Equestria Girls reference actually change?
Mainly the colour range and the hair. The clothes are bright and colour blocked, with hairdos built on the pony characters rather than on Barbie.
Is makeup chosen separately?
Yes, lipstick, mascara and blush are their own layer, so the face is styled apart from the outfit.
