Princesses Homecoming Ball

Homecoming is an awkward register to dress for. It is more formal than a school dance and less formal than a ball, and a dress that gets the level wrong looks wrong no matter how good it is on its own.

That is the real puzzle in this one. The wardrobe reaches from short and simple up to full gown, and both ends are available, so the decision you are actually making is how seriously the evening is being taken. Everything else, hair, heels, jewellery, follows from that one call.
