Lolita is a silhouette before it is a colour scheme, and this game is built around that fact.
Instead of a rack of finished dresses you get a tailoring studio: pick the garment model, choose the fabric, apply paint and prints, then add the trim, which is where lace, bows and buttons come in. The shape stays close to the historical outline no matter what you do to the surface, so the decisions that read loudest are the ones you make last.
Restraint is the difficulty. The trim options are generous and it is very easy to bury a good dress under ribbon until nothing on it is legible.

Frequently asked questions
Do I design the dress or just pick one?
You build it. The studio gives you garment models, fabrics, prints and a trim layer of lace, bows and buttons to apply yourself.
What is lolita fashion?
A Japanese street style built on a full knee length skirt, a fitted bodice and heavy trim, drawn loosely from Victorian and Rococo shapes.
