Which sounds limiting until you see how the game is built. This is a design stage, not a wardrobe. You start from one of three base shapes, choose a shade of black, then add sparkle, lace or a black and white print to the fabric, and decide on sleeves or none. Every one of those choices is applied to the dress itself, so the garment that comes out is yours rather than something you found on a rail.
Accessories come last, and they are the only place another colour is allowed in.
