Ever After High #future

Fairytale characters carry their past in their clothes, and putting them in a future wardrobe is a test of how much of that survives.

The answer is usually one element. A colour that was always hers, a silhouette, a single piece of ornament, translated into new materials. Everything else can change completely and she will still read as the same character. Drop that last thread and she becomes somebody else in interesting clothes.

The future half of the wardrobe is mostly hard surfaces and clean lines, which is the sharpest possible contrast with the soft fabric of a fairytale. That collision is the whole appeal.
