Design My Flatforms
Flatforms are not heels. The sole is thick the whole way along, so the foot stays level and the extra height costs you nothing in balance, which is why they come back every summer.
There is a real design stage here before any dressing happens. Choose the model first, a slip-on or an espadrille, because that decision governs everything after it. Colour, pattern and small applied decorations come next, and only then do you open the wardrobe and pick an outfit to suit the pair you just built. Doing it the other way round, clothes first, leaves the shoe trying to rescue a look that is already finished.

Frequently asked questions
Is there more to it than dressing up?
Yes. The shoe itself is designed first, model, colour, pattern and trim, and only then do you pick clothes to suit it.
What separates the two models?
The espadrille has a woven rope sole and reads warm and summery. The slip-on is plainer and carries bold pattern better.
