Heat is the premise and it does real work on the wardrobe.

The princesses have been stuck indoors all day and have moved the party to the pool once the sun drops, so you are dressing for a warm evening rather than midday sun or a ballroom. That rules out the heavy gowns these characters usually attract and pushes you towards light fabric, bare shoulders and flat sandals. The Snow Queen is in the line-up, which is the small joke the game is built on, and she is the interesting one to dress because nothing in her usual register fits the brief.
