Every monster princess in this series has a creature to work with, and this one starts from the hardest material.

Rats are not majestic, and that is the whole opportunity. Everything that would be effortless with a swan or a butterfly has to be argued for here, which means the design has to be cleverer. Greys and browns handled well look expensive. A tail treated as a train rather than an embarrassment changes the whole posture. Small details of fur and whisker, used deliberately, stop being ugly and start being characterful.

It is the most interesting one in the Starsue monster princess set for exactly that reason.
